MISSIONARIES
Led by Missionary Gloria Thompson, Evangelist Temple's Missionaries strive for excellence in service. Our missionaries are often seen helping the sick and shut-in, ensuring the beautification of the sanctuary, assisting Supervisor Funchess in the Women's Department, and being an assistant for families who recently lost a loved one.
DEACONS
Led by Deacon Johnny Morris, Evangelist Temple's Deacons are the backbone of the church. Our Deacons are responsible for the upkeep of the church, supporting the Pastor, and working with Deacon Mitch McGinty to strengthen the Men's Department.
USHERS AND GREETERS
Led by Sis. Myra Thomas, Evangelist Temple's ushers and greeters are always ready to lend a helping hand. Our ushers and greeters are a unique group because our usher board and greeters are made up of lifelong members and members who joined the church and wanted to serve.
CHOIRS
Evangelist Temple Mass Choir, led by Janis Johnson Durr, is the premier choir of Evangelist Temple. Having recorded their debut album, It Shall Come to Pass, the mass choir has sung and performed all over the nation. In addition to the mass choir, Evangelist Temple also has the privilege of housing a newly formed young adult choir under the direction of Brother Nickie Floyd.
PRAISE TEAM
The Evangelist Temple Praise team, under the leadership of Sister Deidre Alexander, is a group of Evangelist Temple millennials who are excited about God and enjoy singing his praises. Evangelist Temple praise team enjoys marrying contemporary Christian, gospel, and traditional gospel music together for a holistic worship experience.
SUNSHINE BAND
Led by Sister Shirley Alexander, Evangelist Temple's Sunshine Band allows our little soldiers for Christ, ages 0-12, the opportunity to praise God through song and drama.
SUNDAY SCHOOL & YPWW
Led by Sister Marilyn McLaurin, Sunday School and YPWW ( Young People Willing to Work) are important assets to Evangelist Temple. Sunday School and YPWW allow for members and non-members the opportunity to learn about the Bible and engage in deep discussion.
DRAMA
Led by Evangelist Tonia Rounds and Missionary Lois Thompson, Evangelist Temple's relationship for the dramatic arts has spanned for a few decades. Our drama department allows our youth to tell a story through plays and various productions about biblical and real-world events.
PASTORAL SERVICES
Pastoral Services, led by Sister Tosha Walker, is a group of individuals who ensure the wellness of our pastor.
HOME AND FOREIGN MISSIONS
Home and Foreign Missions, led by Missionary Patricia Ann Jordan, is a ministry that ensures Evangelist Temple is giving back to the community at large. Home and Foreign Missions, now assisted by Sister LeLee Shoulders, engage in numerous outreach services throughout the year.
